One of my biggest challenges when I started working on patterns was to find the way of speeding up the process of creating them, because it can take you hours or days to finish a pattern if you cannot decide the right placement of elements and check the final test, as sometimes, although the base module looks correct, when you apply it to a bigger surface, you realize that it doesn’t work.

In this time lapse video I show you how I sort this problem out and a final application of the pattern to a product. Working with symbols in Illustrator is fundamental!. 🙂

I hope you like it!

The language is in Spanish, but you can select subtitles in your own language by pressing the wheel at the right bottom corner.

And this is the application I have done for this pattern!. Would you wear it? 🙂
